Opal wifi issue with Pixel 6 phone

When connecting to Opal via WIfi, my Pixel 6 keeps disconnecting. Any idea why?

[Edit: This appears to be issue of IPv6. When I turn off IPv6, my Pixel 6 will stay connected to wifi. But once I turn on IPv6, it keeps disconnecting.]

Can you do this:

  1. Enable IPV6
  2. Connect your Pixel 6 to the router and after you have the problem happening
  3. ssh to the router (from a pc) and get the log using logread

Do you have other phones and can test the same?

Here are some logs. Also looks at some other forums, one of the suggested workaround is adding option disassoc_low_ack ‘0’. But this option is already in /etc/config/wireless

Seem like the key is IEEE 802.11: deauthenticated due to inactivity (timer DEAUTH/REMOVE)
Similar things happened on GL-MIFI. However, Pixel 6 doesn’t have issue with GL-MIFI but a Samsung smart plug has issue with GL-MIFI. I also have to shutoff IPv6 to resolve the problem. The difference is this only happend on Version: 3.211 GL-MIFI but completely fine on Version: 3.203

So the summary of the problem.

  1. Pixel 6 cannot connect SFT1200 with IPV6 turnned on. After turnning IPV6 it can connect.
  2. Samsung smart plug cannot connect to MIFi v3.211 with IPV6 on. But 3.203 is OK.

@temerosoivan can you try GL.iNet download center
and
GL.iNet download center
Because recently we fixed some problems with IPV6. Hopefully it helps.
But if not, we need to check further according to the info you provided.

Yes
Your summary is correct.
One other thing I noticed, when my Pixel having trouble with SFT1200, my WAN is via USB tethering. However, when I switch to a eithernet as WAN even with IPv6, my Pixel don’t have problem.

Can you let me know what device are you using for tethering?

Franklin T9 T-mobile

When you tethering “Franklin T9 T-Mobile” to SFT1200 via USB,
Your Pixel cannot connect to SFT1200? Or it can connect but no Internet.

To me this is rather strange.

When I tether via USB (and have IPv6 enabled), my Pixel cannot connect to SFT1200 via wifi as it will drop the wifi quickly via “deauthenticated due to inactivity (timer DEAUTH/REMOVE)”. Other device could connect just fine via ethernet or wifi.
Also when IPv6 is off, there is no issue at all with my Pixel and USB tether.
