Phantom mouse movements

Ever since connecting the Comet to my computer I’ve been getting occasional random phantom mouse movements out of nowhere. I’d be just browsing on my PC and my mouse flies to the middle-bottom of my screen.

The only thing that has changed in my setup was connecting the Comet via USB.

my hypothesis is that my Mac which had the client open kept waking up randomly and that caused this

Does the movement happen when you are remotely controlling or locally using the controlled device?

It might caused by the mouse jiggle function which periodically simulates a mouse movement signal to the controlled computer to prevent it from entering sleep mode.

I have a similar problem. The mouse cursor jumps to the taskbar on the bottom of the screen about 1/3 of the way from the right. When that happens, the Logitech keyboard touchpad doesn’t work, but if I remote into the PC using Rustdesk, I can sort of move the cursor before it snaps back.

Disconnecting the KVM doesn’t help. Removing the gl.inet KVM device in the control panel does. It’s a Windows 11 PC. I am not sure about the mouse jiggler, but this PC is set to never go to sleep and probably doesn’t need it. Can I disable it?

Yes please disable it and try.

I disabled it and all is right again, until a restart where the device is reinstalled. I have to track down what keeps restarting it. Any hints?

May I confirm which power adapter you use, how you charge the device?
Generally, the reboot problem always related to the unstable power source.

When it was on, I used the included power supply. After I decided that it wasn't working good enough to use, I removed it from the pc and powered it off, which is it's current state.

Never mind about the mouse movements. I still had the USB connection to the PC plugged into the KVM, which was still powered on. That’s where the device got installed from. The other issues remain and the KVM is still unusable.

I’ll mess with it more when I have some time.

You use your PC to power the KVM? This might cause some problem. Such as reboot as you mentioned.
Please refer to the link below to setup.

I powered the KVM using the included power supply. The KVM was on and the USB connection for keyboard and mouse movement was also connected. All I disconnected was the HDMI connection. I have since shut the KVM off and disconnected the keyboard/mouse USB connection.
