Please consider hiding hostname of device by default.
I did a quick search in your forum and found that not only me having similar issues.
Here is where to find this:
You see, because of using MAC randomization on nearly all devices (Android and IPhone come with that enabled by default) many network filters in public wifi started to filter devices by hostname.
And if there is something looking like hostname that been put in their blacklist they drops connection completely.
Using Kali Lunux and doing some advanced research stuff I found out that many of routers blocked not only by MAC but by hostname too.
Here is example:
If you name your computer in our City Mall "MT3000" or "E750" you will end up without connection. An to fix this you will need to change BOTH MAC and hostname.
Mac change already built in firmware but hostname exposed.
And after multiple test, yes, simply hiding hostname WILL fix issue and allow router to work in Mall.
