PPPoE + IPv6 not working on Flint2 + Movistar

Hi,

I’m trying to get IPv6 working with my ISP (Movistar) in Spain, which uses PPPoE. IPv4 works fine, and lots of other users report that IPv6 works on Movistar’s network. However, none of the IPv6 network mode selections in my Flint 2 is able to acquire an IPv6 address for the router, much less for anything on my LAN.

Here’s a post on the Movistar forums that shows some breakdown of how Movistar’s IPv6 support works. It’s in Spanish, but Google Translate works fine: https://comunidad.movistar.es/discussions/soporte-fibra-optica/fibra-ipv6-y-segundo-router/5256078/replies/5256176

Are there any particular settings in LuCI I should try to get this working?

Hi

Did you confirm with your ISP whether they provide IPv6 connectivity in your location?
Or have you already verified that IPv6 connectivity works properly on another router (for example, the one provided by your ISP)?

Based on the post you provided from the Movistar forum, no special configuration is required to obtain an IPv6 address.
Just run a DHCPv6 client on the PPPoE interface -- this is the default behaviour after enabling IPv6 mode.
