Having changed internet provider, our new router doesn't have a usb port on it. So we can't use our usb hard drive anymore. We used to be able to get to it via our phones via wi-fi, now we are stuck. Looking for a cost effective solution and your kit pops up. Will the brume 2 GL-MT2500A work for us? If not any other options?
Thank you.
Yes, you can use it to connect your USB Hard Drive, but what you really need is a proper NAS
And, in addition: If you use the brume as your NAS replacement, make sure to use ext4 as file system. NTFS or FAT32 might be tricky and some strange issues might occur.
Thank you.
Our laptop met an untimely end. So we've taken the hard drive out and put it in a external enclosure. We use it to back up our phones. It works with the TV, we just needed the ability to get stuff on to it again, that wasn't going to break the bank. Dad has a few proper NAS's, but we needed something we could put away, away from the kids and get out every month and back-up our phones and dad has a copy on his NAS too.
Note that this device doesn't have WiFi.
Ok. It has arrived and installed. It does what I wanted it to do. I can use the attached usb hard drive from my PC's and Phones and it's ready to give to my daughter, but for one thing...
The blue LED is blink blue all the time. Shouldn't it be white?
Blinking blue LED, indicates no internet. alzhao said so here.
