I'm just using it as a WiFi router - connecting my iPad to a device with physical ethernet.
I can connect and configure using the http server, and connect to my device - and everything seems to work fine initially.
But after a few minutes the connection to my device fails.
At this point I can't reconnect to by ethernet device - or talk to the http server in the router (it times out).
The WiFi connection to my iPad is still up and running.
I was powering the router from a USB port on the device - and I saw some comments here about power being an issue - so I tried a USB 2A power supply - but had the same failure.
When the failure happens the power light is on and steady and the wireless lights is flashing rapidly.
This isn't ipad related - I get a similar situation on my mac. The WiFi connection stays up - but I can no longer talk to other devices on the network - after a period time things recover.
Not quite sure what to look fo in the logs - but happy to extract / share.
WiFi router? Is it AP (cable) or repeater or extender which connects with the primary router?
What is the HTTP server? is it deployed on the MT300NV2 or your home server? Or you mean the GL GUI / Luci server?
Are there problems with client access of other systems?
Maybe the access mechanism of Apple's system is different. When the screen is turned off or the system is locked, ICMP ping will be rejected or dropped.
I’ve tried both standalone (not connected to my router) and as a repeater (connected to my main router via WiFi) - with the same result.
I mean the GL gui.
My phone seems to stay connected, iPad and match both have the same ‘routing / connectivity stops but WiFi stays connected’ issue.
If used as a repeater internet access also stops.
When the access stops it is not synchronised between Mac and iPad, so one will work but the other stops. Timing about disconnect and reconnect doesn’t seem predictable.
Disconnecting from WiFi and connecting again restored access - for a while.
This happens when my Mac & Ipad are in use and active - so screen on and not locked.
