I have a Puli AX (GL-XE3000) 5G Sim/Cellular Router with Battery and would like to know, if it can also operate without a battery and if it is possible to remove the battery? I am asking because I am worried that once the battery dies, I can´t use this router any longer. I live in a very hot area, so batteries degrade a bit quicker here. Thanks!
Hello,
According to the confirmation of hardware R&D, the XE3000 can remove the battery and operate directly through an external wired power supply.
Manually disassembling the housing and changing the hardware will affect the warranty. Please consider it carefully.
I've recently removed the battery from my Puli AX. As a result, it now only powers on once. The battery indicator blinks red, but the device works normally. The problem is that it won’t power on a second time. If I unplug it from the charger and plug it back in, it doesn’t start again. To get it working, I have to reconnect the battery.
Does anyone know how to make the Puli AX automatically power on every time it's connected to the charger, even with the battery disconnected?
Alternatively, is there a way to turn it off programmatically—or to simulate disconnecting the battery via software?
How about the X3000, I think the X3000 is better meets your needs.
But confirm with R&D team, the XE3000 can work, if battery is disconnected and the power adapter is connected separately.
