Question About OpenWRT Version in Firmware 4.9.0 GL-BE3600 (Slate 7)

I use the GL-BE3600 (Slate 7) router and I have been following the firmware updates closely.

I noticed that the snapshot firmware version 4.8.4 release notes mention that support for OpenWRT 25.x.x was added. This was great news.

However, the new beta firmware version 4.9.0 was released a few hours ago, and the release notes do not mention anything about the OpenWRT version.

I have two simple questions:

  1. Does firmware version 4.9.0 include an updated version of OpenWRT (such as 25.x.x), or does it still use the older OpenWRT version 23.05?

  2. If version 4.9.0 still uses OpenWRT 23.05, are there plans to update the OpenWRT version to a newer one in a future firmware release?

Thank you for your time and for the continued work on the firmware. I appreciate the effort your team puts into improving the router.

The firmware included commits for other hardware to support future op25. These commits/changes do not apply to the Slate 7 and there is no op25 release for this device coming at this time (Until Qualcomm release an SDK that support newer OpenWRT). I believe the line you mention here applies to the Flint 2 and Beryl AX only but would need to find the other thread where this was discussed.
