Reloading firewall due to ifdown of wglclient

Hi everyone, I have had my slate ax 1800 routers for over a year now and it worked perfectly for working abroad by letting me use my home WiFi/IP. But these past few weeks, WG has been failing me. I have been unable to connect to my server through my client. It seems like this started occurring once I upgraded the firmware to 4.6.4. I will upload my logs here as well. Thanks in advance

Hi,

Please let us know the further info.

Try in other VPN clients (like PC, phone), use same profile to test if the VPN tunnel work well.

May I know does the router enbaled the AGH and VPN killswitch?
May I know if downgrade the firmware 4.6.3 and before, does the VPN client work well?

Let's first dig the server side. Can you make sure the wireguard server is still on?

Yes! The server is still on. Thank you for reaching out!

Yes, I did give it a try on another device and even tried to set up another bridge for another travel router (Beryl AX), but that didn't work either. Also, neither of those router settings are enabled. I did downgrade the firmware to 4.6.3, and it didn’t work either—there was no improvement in compatibility or performance.

How do you verify that?

You can try the exact same config on another device, e.g. pc or smartphone.

I tried that same configuration on my phone and tablet using different networks as well

Bruce asked about killswitch etc. Apprecaite that you give details.

Sorry I am a bit of a neophyte in this area. I believe I can find that in the VPN Dashboard and click “Global Options”? If so, I do not see anything enabled in that area

Yes. If you can send screenshots that will help to understand.

My apologies for my delayed response

First, pls upgrade firmware.

Second, pls turn vpn cascading off. As nowhere you mentioned you need both vpn server and client at the same time.

Okay that is completed

So problem solved or not?

Yes, that worked. I apologized for my delayed responses! Thank you so much!
