I've been searching the forums and can't find my answer although I'm sure it's here.
When I try to click on products I'm searching for adguard blocks the page from loading. It's often doubleclick.com and the behavior is expected.
But I didn't always want that behavior and I've tried googling the "AdGuard Home Handle Client Requests"
and turning off adguard.
I don't see a change when I do the client requests toggle and when I turn off adguard I lose the Internet entirely.
I read somewhere that it has to do with adguard taking over dns.
Without resetting the router, how would I remove adguard and not lose Internet. Or can I unblock doubleclick.net ?
I'm attempting to find the setting on mobile, maybe I'll see the option more easily on a desktop browser.
Pretty easy to unblock / whitelist a domain.
Visit your adguard home settings page
Then on the adguard home dashboard find the "Blocked by filters" queries, click on it and it will load up the Query log. Find the offending request that has been blocked, click it and choose unblock. This will then write a rule inside the filters > Custom filtering rules.
When viewing the blocked by filters queries you can also see which blocklist is causing the block, the list is defined under the Response details "Rule(s)" section.
You can then just remove the offending blocklist if you get too many false positives or you can selectively allow each blocked domain.
doubleclick.net is usually used for most spammy ads hence why it's blocked. The reason you might be running into issues is because you are clicking on the sponsored ads on your browser, most top results these days are ads and obviously when you click them you get an error as adguard is working correctly. Install the "ublock origin" extension on your browsers and that will also hide the sponsor blocks and give some more protection too.
Adguard home can't re-render a page and hide certain elements where as unlock origin can.
When you make changes and unblock / whitelist domains inside adguard home, be sure to clear your browser cache and disconnect / reconnect to your WiFi to force any changes. Cache is usually the reason why you dont see an immediate change in behaviour. Also try incognito browser mode which can help to see if settings have changed too.
