Encountering an issue in the PoE kvm around repeated keypress. Example if you type Hello it's sometimes appears as Heeeelloooo.
This does not occur always but intermittently like once or twice in an hour. System win 11, internet explorer or chrome to access. Issue more pronounced when two way latency or ping time is high example about 200 ms. There is no packet loss. I checked that.
You can enable the PIKVM UI and turn on the switch mentioned in the ISSUE. The reason I didn't add this button on the page is that it might increase some cognitive load. However, I have to admit that there isn't a particularly good solution in the short term.
The above is very helpful and works. Can you please include this in your UI also as it is important and an important use case for comet wherein the device is accessed from somewhere where the internet quality may not be very good.
I'm not entirely sure why PIKVM doesn't enable this by default if it actually resolves the issue. I'm concerned it might introduce other complications. If you could help verify whether this switch might cause other problems, that would be appreciated.
Is this incorporated in the new release. I don't see it.
This is an excellent option and I again tested it by activating the PiKVM menu and it works very good. Is there a way to change it using a Linux command so that I can keep using the comet web interface.
I have a Comet Pro (GL-RM10).
Latest firmware update completed.
Connected via Ethernet.
I am getting duplicate key presses in the bios and weird behavior with arrow keys at the debian login.
I have tried all the ideas I have found in this thread and other PiKVM threads.
I tried connecting to it from a linux machine and a desktop machine in firefox, chrome and edge.
I also tried using the virtual keyboard and the physical keyboard and have the same behavior with both.
I have changed all the suggested settings in the PiKVM dashboard and the GLiNet dashboard.
Nothing has made any difference to the duplicate key presses in the bios and the random characters displayed when using the arrow key at login.
I am connecting to a HP t620 thin client.
It would be great if this can be addressed in the next firmware upgrade.
Cheers
David
P.S. For those who are looking for a way to make do, I created shortcuts in the GL.iNet dashboard for shift+arrow keys. These allowed me to navigate the bios.
Clearly the device is capable, but some settings need to be changed.
