Request: Add Tailscale & ZeroTier to Policy Routing & 4.8 for Brume2

First of all, I want to say I really appreciate the work you’ve done with the policy-based VPN feature in version 4.8—it’s a fantastic addition!

I’d like to suggest a potential enhancement for future releases. At the moment, policy routing only allows WireGuard or OpenVPN as selectable outputs. It would be incredibly useful if we could also set other supported protocols like Tailscale and ZeroTier as policy routing endpoints. This would add a lot of flexibility for users who rely on different VPN solutions for various purposes.

Also, could you please release version 4.8 for the Brume 2?
Since it’s marketed as the VPN router, it would be great for Brume 2 users to have access to these new features.

Thanks for considering this, and keep up the great work!

Hello,

Tailscale and Zerotier do not have standard VPN routing capabilities and are generally used to form a point-to-point (where clients can access each other) virtual network.

You may think the Tailscale supports the traffic function - exit node, However, as soon as the tailscale program enables "exit node", it will take over globally (all traffic), GL cannot change its route.

Please rest assured that Brume 2 is in the firmware upgrade iteration plan for v4.8.x.

We are working hard on the v4.8 beta firmware for multiple models. There are some obstacles currently encountered, some issues need to be resolved and improved before releasing this firmware. Please wait.

The point is able to chose what you want to send to Tailscale. Not necessary use Exit Node feature. Just controlling next hop based on policy.

And, even if you have exit node elsewhere, we can chose not to enable the exit node and chose to use internal default route or specific route to the exit node.

Also, any chance to add a nat traversal feature to have more reliable point-to-point vpn over CGNAT?

I think AstraWarp is a similar feature.
