RM10: Virtual media problem with Raspberry 5 Android

Hello, thanks for the great product , everything seems to be working except for one item.

My Raspberry 5 running Android 16 is only picking up the virtual usb drive when it boots up.

I can transfer files both ways. However, disconnecting the virtual media is not detected by Android.

If I boot up without the virtual media attached, the Android device will not detect the usb drive when the virtual media is shared later.

Any ideas on fixing this?

Just unplug and replug the USB cable after connecting Virtual Media - Android will detect it immediately.

Thanks, this works for local use. However, the kvm and pi will be located remotely. If no other solutions, I’ll have to delay pi bootup till the kvm is ready to provide the virtual media.

Just want to comment, this is not an acceptable solution. What good is a remote KVM device that you need to be local to to unplug and replug a wire. If this is the requirement in the UI there needs to be a virtual way to disconnect and reconnect the device.

The kvm does work properly with linux on the Raspberry 5, regarding connecting and disconnecting the usb device. There is something strange going on between the kvm and Android. I can solve my problem by delaying the Android power up. I don’t need to have disconnect and connect after power up, but it would be nice. I think the only way to find the problem is for a developer to reproduce the problem by getting a RP5 and loading the AOSP Android 16. This problem is probably not big enough to put such resources into.
