RM1V2 W/ATX board shutting down computer randomly

Hello,

Since I got the device a few weeks ago, it has shut down my host machine twice randomly. The first time it also managed to turn it back on after a minute. Here is the entire log from today (12th) until I used the KVM to power it back on at 13:28.

It is running firmware 1.9.1 release1.
You can see the ATX command where I powered it on, but no command to turn it off, in fact no entries in the log at all until a few minutes after proxmox received the power off command.

GLKVM detects the power down/up but no logs that it initiated anything. Therefore I must suspect the ATX board is causing this:

Hi,
Thanks for the detailed logs. Could you please try disconnecting the USB-C cable between the RM1V2 and the ATX board and check if the random shutdowns still happen?

Also, are you using the original USB-C cable? If possible, please share a photo of how the ATX board is connected to the motherboard.

Yes, I am using the original USB cable that came in the package. For now I tried disconnecting the lines to my power / reset switch as I don’t really need them anyway to see if that would help. I will also try disconnecting the USB.

Its hard to test because it only has happened about once/twice a week, though usually multiple triggers over a short period of time time as shown by the logs.

Sure, It’s a MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX.

Hello. If the issue occurs again, please export the full log. The current log only shows that a short-press event was detected, but it cannot identify who triggered it. At present, the only way for us to control the switch is by clicking on it in the browser.
