Router / Hardware Suggestions

Totally newb here, and need some guidance as I keep making myself more torn on what to do.

Needing to setup a VPN tunnel and deciding what routers to get. My "home" base is my condo in Chicago which only xfinity serves in that area. 400mb downstream / 160 mb upstream. My "remote" base is in Costa Rica which is fiber 400 both up / down. For access reasons I am having to build this setup to access our company platforms. Additionally we use Zoom, and Teams quiet a bit (4-6 sessions daily for an hour each). So having a reliable setup is important. I am worried about the speed bottleneck with the modem at my home base, but not much I can do there, but I been told it will be fine.

I was recommended to get the MT6000 (Flint2) for my "home" base and a MT3000 for my "remote" base. I have also been told due to my ISP upload speeds I and not using the WiFi the Flint2 is overkill, and to focus on the Brume2. I did inquire about the Brume2 to GLiNet support and they made it seem the device was inferior and has limited hardware / software even when compared to the MT3000 which minus the WiFi is lessor spec'd in memory, and has the same processor so not sure why support is pushing me away from the Brume2.

I am open to all kinds of suggestions. Side note I do like the ability to tether to the "remote" router as if the fiber goes out in Costa Rica I still can use my cellular LTE to connect which I know is not ideal but it allows me access.

Additional notes. At my "home" I do not intent to connect devices to the routers wifi directly as I want to keep it only for the VPN tunnel. I will be using the ISP modem for connecting our devices. Additionally, I would like to get rid of NordVPN to access my streaming services in my remote location (Costa Rica) such as Hulu, Disney+, Paramount, HBO, etc.

I am all ears, but only get one shot to get this right as I spend majority of my time in Costa Rica, but fly back quarterly for business, and that trip is coming up soon. So I need to buy what I need and install it so I can regain access to our companies systems. Appreciate each of you and your expert opinions and maybe some banter as well for my ignorance on the topic! What would be your pick for home and remote knowing my requirements?

There has been alot of suggestions for the Brume2 and MT3000 combo, but on my remote setup I really do not need the WiFi either, would I be best to match another Brume2 if the best path is a Brume2 server as well?

First you require to confirm your home ISP has a public IP (a dynamic public IP is also OK), but not CGNAT.

As a VPN server router(home), since WiFi is not used you mentioned, it is recommended to Brume2.

As a VPN client router(remote), if you use WiFi, it is recommended to be Beryl AX. If require stronger WiFi performance, Flint2 or Slate 7.

Only personal suggestion, for your reference.
