Router in ap mode with wireguard client on for wifi

Hello. i’m trying to configure Opal GL-SFT1200 in ap mode with a wired connection from ISP router and wireguard client just for WiFi connections. When i put it in access point mode, the wireguard client interfaces disappear.

How to reach this approach? only using LUCI control panel?

The WireGuard Client can only be used when the SFT1200 is in Router Mode.

When configured to AP Mode, all traffic from LAN devices is passed through to the upstream router. Tasks such as DHCP and NAT are handled entirely by the primary router, which is why the WireGuard Client cannot operate on the SFT1200 in this configuration.

Thanks for your reply. Is there another GL Inet router model where I can handle this setup?

This difference is not caused by the device model, but rather by the router's operating Network Mode.
Only in Router Mode can the device receive traffic from other devices and forward it through the VPN tunnel.

You may need to configure the SFT1200 to Router Mode and connect the devices requiring VPN access to the SFT1200's Wi-Fi or LAN ports.

If you find that you have an insufficient number of LAN ports, you might consider purchasing an unmanaged switch.
