Routing between the Main Network and the Repeater network

I have two Flint 2 routers. The first is my home gateway device at 192

168.8.1. There is a DHCP pool on this network in the 192.168.9.x range.

The second router is configured as a wifi connected repeater/access point at 192.168.9.1, and has a DHCP pool in the 192.168.9.x range.

I want devices to be able to route from one network to the other seemlessly. I tried switching the subnet mask on the routers to 255.255.254.0 so they would act as a single network, but would still hand out IP addresses on the respective network associated with the router the clients are connected to.

When I tried changing the subnet mask on the repeater, it gave an error that this was in conflict with the WAN.

Can you tell me how to acheive my goal?
At the very least, I want to be able to manage both routers from either network.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi

If you don't need to maintain two subnets, you can configure the second Flint 2 as an Extender/AP.
This will allow them to work on same subnet, then you can access any devices in it.

If you only need to manage the router from either network, you can open ports on the second router's configuration.
This allows you to access it using its WAN address within the 192.168.8.0/24 network.
