Is it possible to install drivers for the Realtek 8814U chipset? I’ve found a few github repositories, but I’m not sure what to do with any of them?! Accessing LuCI, these drivers do not exist.
My linux knowledge is very limited! Essentially, I’m trying to get a wifi dongle based on this chipset to work with the router instead of the built-in wifi.

I am not sure. The source is for Linux but not for openwrt. To port it to openwrt, there may something to do. But due to that adding a separate wifi dongle doesn’t improve the performance, we are not trying to do this now.

Are you saying that you are trying to add 1750ac to AR300M?
AR300M has only 100 Mbps and you don’t need a high ac module to it.
