Set leds on GL-MT300N-V2

I have a GL-MT300N-V2 using firmware 4.3.17
I would like to use the middle led to show that the repeater WiFi is connected.
At present it lights when the wan ethernet cable is attached.

I tried setting it under Luci/Led configuration
When I save the settings the centre led comes on when "repeater" WiFi connection is working and turns off when it's disconnected.
The problem is that when I reboot the device it stops working and seems to revert to showing when the ethernet wan cables is attached.

Is there a way I can make it work

Thanks David

I verified and yes this seems a problem. Recorded as a bug internally.

Thanks

So not going mad

I also found that using the main interface to turn the LEDs off and then on again reverts the LEDs to default.

I assume that the startup process was setting the LEDs to the default settings.

Just asking - is there anyway around this issue?
Any idea of the time scale for getting a fix ?

Thanks
David

Try this

/etc/init.d/gl_led stop
/etc/init.d/gl_led disable

Thanks that is brilliant and seems to working. I assume this stops the GL code control of the LEDS and
it survives a restart.

Stopping gl_led service and all the Leds went dark
( doing disable I assume stops it restarting after a reboot )
I then used the luci interface and tweaked the settings so I could do a save & apply
and the wifi led came on - and the middle lead lights up when the "repeater" wifi was connected.

The power Led did not light - so I went to the luci page and added another entry to make the "power led" always on, see picture.

The middle led is lit now when connected to repeater wifi but . . .
doing the settings the same as for the wifi one but it is not flashing due to traffic
I know it's a bit cheeky :smirk: to ask since you solved my original issue but
I was wondering if it should be flashing

I think just reboot the router without reconfig and it should be on. But it is OK to configure it for other functions.
