Setting Up Keep My Home Up Server & Travel Router for Remote Local Network Access

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some advice from the community. I have a GL-MT3000 router at home and another GL-MT3000 that I use when I travel. I’d like to be able to access devices on my home network (like a NAS) from the travel router, but currently I can’t seem to find a way to do this.

Ideally, I’d like to establish a connection between the two routers so I can access my home network devices as if I were physically there.

Does anyone have any experience with achieving this kind of setup with GL-MT3000 routers? I’ve looked into the options within the current Wireguard configuration, to no avail.
Thanks in advance for your help!

You might want to look into Zerotier or Tailscale (both supported by Glinet routers). More likely than not, your ISP will block the ports needed for Vpn/Wireguard. Zerotier/tailscale should help you circumvent this issue.
