I have an N66 too. I think the last firmware update was in 2000, which is pretty good of them for a 12 year old router, but still the old code base. Mine is flashed to Merlin, but you might want to flash it with John’s fork of the Merlin software. More here: Asuswrt-Merlin | SmallNetBuilder Forums
