Setup Tethering and any other features on AR750S running the Latest OpenWRT 23.05.5

Hey guys,

I've just upgraded my AR750S to the latest 23.03.5 OpenWRT firmware (openwrt-23.05.5-ath79-nand-glinet_gl-ar750s-nor-nand-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin) file.

I came from the latest Stable 4.3.18 and trying to get everything setup as I had been using on the Stable OEM software.

How do I setup Tethering on the OpenWRT firmware and is there anywhere I can access a list of things to check or setup now that I've gone over to OpenWRT?

Is there any software packages that can be safely removed from the OpenWRT install that will free up memory and run without issues?

Hope someone can help and that I'm able to access all OEM features under the OpenWRT install. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, what is the OEM features?

Did you install the GL firmware? or the Vanilla OpenWRT firmware?

If the GL firmware, you can refer to this guide:

Hi Bruce,

I installed the latest Vanilla OpenWRT on the router.

I can no longer have access the GL inet interface and can only use the OpenWRT LuCI system for settings.

Are there any guides provided for setting up the AR750S features such as GuestWIFI, Tethering and other features activated in the stable firmware?

Cheers

Seems like you need to check the OpenWRT forums for assistance since you are no longer using GL-iNet firmware.

If you are already installed the Vanilla Openwrt, GL is difficult to provide more support for this, the guest WiFi can be added in Network -> Wireless -> Add, tethering can search the plug-in.
