Hi,
Looking for some guidance on how to get this completed on MT3000 router.
I have the ss-libenv installed and configured the remote-server options and enabled it under the luci portal.
However, i don't see any options to use it (i.e. i can't find proxy settings).
Will appreciate some guidance on this.
Also - is it possible to set it to ensure all traffic is routed through this (fail block - as opposed to fail-open)?
Thanks

Shadowsocks isn't supported if you don't go plain OpenWrt.

Don't think that's true. There is documentation from the old 2.x and 3.x version that shows configurable options.
Correct me if I am wrong.
Unless that has changed and the luci packages that are available and installed successfully through app-manager are to be decommissioned.
The luci portal shows the settings to configure remote shadow proxy which I did but then I don't see where to configure transparent proxy profile for the router to use (should be an option to select ss)

Sorry, GL.iNet routers don’t support running Shadowsocks.
We are not supporting ssr from long time ago. Sorry for that.
I would go plain OpenWrt if you need it.

Got it. Thank you. Kind of sucks consideration the Glinet routers are great little devices. Bought few of them to use with WG and ovpn.
will try to see if I can build one myself on an old pc or might end up getting a openwrt router instead.
if the functionality is available in pure OpenWRT, they may consider introducing it in one of the updates someday
There is Vanilla firmware for this model OpenWrt Firmware Selector

Nice, thanks for the input everyone.
At the moment I have decided to use windows hotspot and internet / VPN sharing. Not a clean solution but it does work.
I will give ethersoft a try and see how that works out.
They took it away because china was getting butt hurt you just have to install them. They are out there
