'Sim is not registered' error with GL-X3000

I recently purchased both a GL-X3000 router and prepaid EE sim card from Scancom. So far I haven't been able to connect and consistenly get the 'Sim is not registered' error.

So far I have:

  • Tested the EE sim in my phone (it works)
  • Tested a Vodafone sim in the router (it works)
  • Updated to the latest firmware (4.4.12)
  • Updated the APN (everywhere), username (eesecure), and password (secure). This is the same APN my phone uses when connecting.
  • Ensured IPv6 is disabled (as I read this has caused issues for others)
  • Tried multiple IMEI numbers, including one from an empty sim slot in my phone

The logs seem like there is a problem authenticating, with requestRegistrationState2 being called many times and seemingly failing.

I'm pretty confused as I've seen recent posts from people who have sucessfully used this exact router with a Scancom EE sim, and would appreciate any assistance

Thanks!

Managed to resolve this by blacklisting all 5g SA bands.
