Simplest zerotier setup for phone to router's home broadband connection

Hi,

I have a Flint 2 (MT-6000) router. I have enabled zerotier on the router on my home broadband and I have the app setup on my phone too. I would like all my internet browsing activity from my phone to forward over the zerotier network and exit through my home broadband network.

I am not an advanced networking user and would like to avoid as much as possible having to write custom scripts/commands. Ideally I'm looking for the simplest point-and-click solution through the OpenWRT WebUI / LUCI. Is this easily possible?

Thanks,
Ken

Hi,

The Zerotier exit node configuation is advanced feature, require to manually config something files in the SSH of router.

Have not supported in the GL GUI or Luci.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for your reply. Do you think this is an easy feature to implement via GL GUI / Luci in the not too distant future?

This would be a really useful feature to allow me to remote to my home network and use my home broadband connection. This can be useful when travelling for work or when wanting a homemade VPN which might be more reliable than a commercial VPN (e.g. when travelling in China).

But it would be really great if a simple UI solution could be implemented for users that don't have enough technical expertise (or confidence I won't break my home network) to try implementing it via SSH / command line / config files.

Thanks,
Ken

May can try the beta function from the forum banner AD.: AstroWarp

One possible solution that looks interesting is this:

It is using ZeroTier to create the virtual network between two routers and then having a WideGuard Server/Client connection between the two routers via ZeroTier.
