Since the Upgrade to 1.8.2 unable connect

I am using a GL.iNet KVM device and encountering the following error:
“The device is currently unavailable for remote access; service loading failed, please try again later.”

My apartment doesn’t have LAN ports available where I’ve placed the KVM. The main router is located in a different area where I cannot install the device, so I set up a TP-Link repeater and connected the KVM via LAN through it.

This setup worked on the first day, but from the next day onward, I started getting the above error. I’m not sure how to troubleshoot this.

I can still access the local host page using remote desktop software (RustDesk), but I’m currently far away from the device, so I have limited ability to physically inspect or adjust anything.

Does anyone have suggestions on what might be causing this issue or how I can fix it remotely?

is this a powerline adapter also?

I luckily have one, and from what I can say the device can be pretty nuts because it wants to position itself as the head dhcp server overriding the currently dhcp server on your network.

there are situations it just goes normally over repeater mode, but when the powerline connection failed atleast a little the repeater can run into trouble conflicting within the exisiting dhcp server from the router.

best is to disable dhcp server on the tp-link repeater that will likely fix the connection issue, although from my experience this repeater also uses such small dhcp lease time that it just spams leases making the router slow too!

the one I use is TL-WPA8630P but I'm not fan of it, I went to devolo magic 2 but I'm still experimenting with it to get powerline going with pure OpenWrt.

Not a fix you can do now remotely but if there are no ports available on your router buy a switch and extend them. A 5 ports plastic switch is 10 dollars. For remote access always prefer a cable to wifi.

Please export the logs and send them to us.

How do i send logs , is there any email or something to which i can sent to .

Once you have exported it here, you can send it to my email address: yu.zhang@gl-inet.com
