Site to Site GL-MT3000 tailscale

Setting up a GL-MT3000 site-to-site network using tailscale

I'm making this manual so that many users who are not very skilled in networks like me can make their site-to-site connection without getting frustrated reading forums and video tutorials that do not clearly specify how to do it in the case of Gli net MT-3000 and perhaps this instruction will work for other models.

Step 1- Upgrade your firmware.
Upgrade your firmware to the latest version to do this go to SYSTEM>UPGRADE and then upgrade.

Step 2- Time zone
Go to SYSTEM>TIME ZONE : choose your time zone.

Step 3- Tailscale
Go to APPLICATIONS>TAILSCALE : enable tailscale in the button, then click the apply button. Then a message will appear asking you to connect to your tailscale network. Then check in the console that the equipment is already connected.

Next, enable remote lan access on the button as shown in the image below:

Step 4- tailscale update
For this we have to connect via ssh to the computer. In my case I use the putty program since it is very easy to use. In putty, enter the computer's IP, usually it is 192.168.8.1 via ssh as shown in the image.

Then it will ask for the credentials, the user is root and the password is the same one you use to access the computer. Then use the command “tailscale update” confirm and it will update to the latest version of tailscale. To enable automatic updates use “tailscale set --auto-update”

Step 5- firewall rules
Once everything is updated, close putty, then log back into your computer via the web and go to SYSTEM>ADVANCED SETTINGS and click on the “go to LucCI” button. The password is the same one you use to log in to the computer.
Once inside the interface, go to NETWORK>FIREWALL here we will add a new rule so that the devices can access the tailscale network.

Set your configuration like this, then at the top go to ADVANCED SETTINGS and where it says Covered divisions choose “tailscale0” as shown in the image.

Click the save button and save and apply the changes.
Then it should look like this
