Sky Stream (UK) will not connect over wifi to a Flint 3 Router

I live in the UK and have just replaced my Sky Hub router to a Flint 3 Router.

I have set all the SSID's on my Flint 3 to my original Sky Hub SSID in the hope that all my devices will just ask reconnect.

All my devices connected without any issues apart from my Sky Stream TV box. When it tries to connect, it just says connection error.

Can you give me any suggestions on how to try and resolve this issue.

Clear the Network Cache on the Sky Stream Box

  1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the Sky Stream box.

  2. Wait 20 seconds, plug it back in, and let it boot to the home screen.

  3. Go to Settings > Network > Reset, and scan for the WiFi name.

Are you using WPA3 security if so lower it to Wpa2/wpa3.

Is the tv box connected on wifi?, and is the device present on the network or does the authentication fail?

Does it happen also on wire?

Usually stream boxes are not that recommended over wifi, although it is not impossible.

The reason why it is not recommended is because wifi is using half duplex connection and that cause issues with udp and multicast, wifi works better with unicast.

You could try to look into udpxy which is a proxy which helps converting udp multicast into unicast it uses http packets then.

Then you also have to go into the advanced settings, login with the same login as the normal ui with root as user.

Then navigate to network -> wireless, edit the band and then scroll down and click on the advanced tab.

Check multicast to unicast and save and apply.

^ about this checkbox I'm not sure if it works without udpxy maybe they both do the same thing, but I know this is a requirement for iptv based streaming over wifi.
