Slate 7 consistently slower than Beryl AX in repeater mode

I am using my Slate 7 in repeater mode, and when testing it against my BerylAX, I was surprised to see the Slate is consistently slower.

I am getting speeds of around 250mbps consistently on the Slate, but the Beryl is getting around 500mbps.

In both cases I'm connecting to the 5g network, and I'm not using any VPNs or anything like that.

Any idea what might be the cause here?

Is this a home network or a hotel?

Can you confirm your country code settings from Luci?

I was testing it on my home network.

I've never really used Luci before, but I found the setting and it looks like it was set to Germany. I'm in the UK - I've just changed it to the UK but it didn't make much difference. It was actually a bit slower.

I just checked the Beryl and it was set to Germany as well.

The Beryl is faster even when it's in another room and I've got my laptop right next to the Slate.

It does say, " SSID: GL-BE3600-270-5G Mode: Master
Wireless is not associated" - whereas on the Beryl this isn't happening. Not sure if that helps?

That helps, also the Beryl AX is running a native 64 bit build and the Slate 7 is running a 32 bit build.

What router are you repeating from?

Is the firmware going to be updated to 64 bit soon?

I'm repeating from my Flint 2 5G network.
