Slate 7 randomly disconnecting tethering

I have a Slate 7 (GL-BE3600) that is randomly dropping my tethering connection with a TCL LINKPORT IK511 5G Dongle. To test, I removed the usb cable from the Slate 7 and plugged it back in. I get green lights on the dongle showing cellular connectivity and it registering with the Slate 7 as connected, but there is no internet connectivity. I have unplugged the dongle after that and plugged into my laptop just to prove the dongle will still get online. The only way I can get the Slate 7 to get back online is to reboot it, then everything is fine. I am wondering if there is some sort of bug in the firmware that is causing this. I have tried the stable release and also tested with 4.7.1 release 1. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

  1. Please clear other network accesses of the router and keep only tethering.

  2. When there is no network connection, do not restart the device. First use the ping command to access the tethering interface gateway, ping 8.8.8.8, ping www.google.com.
    Then export the log for us to analyze.
