Slate 7 WAN failures

I just received my slate seven today, and it has been unable to connect to the Internet through a surfboard cable modem connected to an Xfinity line.

initially, it wouldn't resolve an IP address or the ISP's DNS, but after a few reboots, it was able to do so, but still is unable to actually connect to the Internet.

My Asus router is having no issues when I connect the Internet cable back to it. I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions on where to proceed for troubleshooting.

Clone the MAC from the Asus Router onto the Slate 7.

You probably did this when you bought the ASUS router, too. Once you do that, you should be able to get an IP address, if not reboot everything and it should get an IP address from your cable provider.

Clone the mac would probably make the problem go away or leave the Asus unplugged for 30 minutes before trying to to plug in the new gl-inet.
Your isp's dhcp sounds like it doesn't want to give the gl-inet an IP because they have an existing dhcp lease for you.
