Slate AX and power strip with USB port

Hello!!

I’ve recently bought a GL-AXT1800 (Slate AX), it will arrive in a few days. I’m fairly new with these products, I’m afraid that this will not be the last question…

For space reasons, I would like to power the router using the USB-C port from a power strip with a USB port /2.4 A.

Could it be possible?

If you’re not plugging other things into the USB port on the Slate then you should be fine. Power usage is about 5W in normal conditions.

It should be pretty safe for 2.4A, as long as the power strip output is as advertised.
