Slate AX connectivity drops intermittently (firmware 4.6.11)

Hello,
I have a Slate AX routing traffic to an exit node through Tailscale.
Since last week I experience intermittent drops in connectivity, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes every hour or so.

My firmware was 4.7.0 and after having heard of possible issues with that firmware I rolled back to 4.6.11. But even then the drops still happen.
I tried numerous things such as plugging my Slate AX to my wifi network over ethernet cable instead of repeating signal, locking BSSID to avoid bandwidth hopping, or disable inactivity polling but the drops still happen.

The logs do not show anything weird happening.

Any idea of fixes I should try?

Thanks

Hello,

  1. If Slate AX disabled the Tailsale, is it normal to ping www.google.com?

  2. On other devices, such as PC, run Tailscale separately and select that exit node to observe if the exit node is normal?

  1. Ping google.com transmits packets but doesn't receive any back.
  2. What exactly do you mean?

@bruce where can i find tailscale logs on the router? Getting hold of tailscale support but they don't see anything through the bug reports produced or the glinet system logs

  1. Is the ping www.google.com executed when Slate AX disbale the Tailscale?
Is it executed on the client (Windows CMD/Mac OS terminal, etc) or in the router SSH terminal?

  2. This is a comparison test. In the PC, install and run the Tailscale APP, and select the same exit node to observe whether the network of this exit node is stable.

@bruce 1. No, it does not.this is done on the router.
2. I do not have access to log in the tailscale app right now, but i will try

It seems the exit node probably is unavailable.
May do a compare test to check if the exit node is available in the same WAN/Internet source, like in PC tailscale APP.
