Hello,
I recently bought a Gl.Inet Slate AX. Unfortunately it seems that it has an old firmware which hasn`t updated right now.
On routers surface its statet 23.05 Snapshot.
Wondering if / when it will be running under the latest OPENWRT 24 Version.
Did I buy an old / unsupported device?
Hoping for help / answers here.
Thanks in advance.

The Slate AX is powered by a Qualcomm SOC. It’s unlikely to get an OpenWRT 24 firmware due to the closed source drivers.
GL routers that have GL-MT in the model name use MediaTek SOCs. They have support for OpenWRT 24.
GL-MT3000 Beryl AX, GL-MT6000 Flint 2 are models with Native OpenWRT 24 Firmware available.

If you know what you are doing, here are very stable ow24 builds for AXT1800:
I get better wifi and no issues with it. Remember , snapshots, do not have Luci pre-installed!
