I installed this update and have spent the past few hours pulling my hair out from the endless errors it created. Upon installation I was locked out of wifi even with the correct password, had to physical reset several times and lost over 400 custom VPN configs

What is going on? My GL-MT3000 Beryl AX updated itself overnight? 
I tried to update manually several times yesterday and it always failed. After I stopped trying I also checked and it was still the wrong sha256 checksum for 4.4.5 in the Download Center.
Checked the file again on my local machine and the checksum is now correct.

So there is “openwrt-axt1800-4.4.5-0811-1691742281” and then “openwrt-mt3000-4.4.5-0811-1691754744” which were both released as stable!. Which is the actually the correct version to use?? or are they both dysfunctional???
Both don’t work. Its all going to s#*+. I’m now getting random wifi dropouts too so look forward to that

Initially it was 4.4.5-0811-1691742281 that was available first. Yesterday it had changed to 4.4.5-0811-1691754744 and now we are back to 4.4.5-0811-1691754744 on the download page (albeit with a different SHA256 than the one from a couple of days back). What is going on here and can some one please make their minds up??!! Three different versions of the so called “stable version” on 3 different days!

The beta firmware for Slate AX on the download page (openwrt-axt1800-4.2.3-0801-1690857361.tar) is not a beta firmware but a snapshot one, and it’s completely broken (it even reset wifi password with the old “goodlife” one) and it’s there from days…

“openwrt-axt1800-4.4.5-0811-1691742281” is released as stable for GL-AXT1800 Slate AX , and “openwrt-mt3000-4.4.5-0811-1691754744” for GL-MT3000 Beryl AX. They are used for different device.You can check the model of your device and download the corresponding version.Thanks!

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring to your attention an issue I encountered when updating my Gl-Internet firmware to version 4.4.5. I hope this report can help others who might be experiencing a similar problem.
Problem Description:
As soon as I installed Gl-Internet firmware version 4.4.5 on my AX1800 Flint router, I encountered a critical issue with my broadband connection. Specifically, when using a PPPoE connection with the Octaplus Fiber provider, I received the following error message: “The interface is connected but the Internet cannot be reached.” This effectively blocked my broadband connection.
Steps Taken:
To isolate the issue, I reverted back to the previous firmware version, and my broadband connection returned to normal, indicating that the problem was indeed linked to the 4.4.5 update. I then reinstalled the latest firmware (4.4.5), and the broadband connection issue reoccurred, confirming the firmware as the root cause.
Recommendation:
I kindly request that the Gl-Internet team investigate this issue and consider removing firmware version 4.4.5 from the stable version repository until this critical broadband connection problem is resolved. It appears that this update is not compatible with PPPoE connections from the Octaplus Fiber provider, and it could potentially impact other users as well.
