After few years of heavy use during my frequent travels GL-AR750S micro USB power port gave up. Is there any alternate way to power the board directly ?

Did you try to get the router to a local place where they fix phones/computers?
They only need to solder the charging port or replace it.
It should be very similar thing with what they do for phones

I was thinking to do it by myself, looking for a pinning or detail blueprint, but as you suggested maybe the mobile repair shop will be able to do it.
