The 2.4GHz WIFI (connection is br-lan) is slowing down, it seems that it is not the same problem as this thread.
Please create a new thread or submit the problem to support@gl-inet.com, please attach the issue syslog, our technical support will follow up on your question.
I had the same problem, but after turning off Network Acceleration and Adguard Home problem disappeared
Hello,
If turn on Network Acceleration and ADG, when the issue reproduces, and try to execute the following command in SSH, check if the issue is improved
uci set route_policy.global.enabled="0"
uci commit route_policy
rtp2.sh
After executing commands everything seems to be fine
Thanks!
May I know if the MT6000 firmware is v4.8.2, and did not disable network acceleration?
Just execute the above commands and the issue will not be reproduced?
Please reproduce the issue, and share your router with us via GoodCloud, and I would like to remote check your router.
Please PM me your router MAC address and the Admin Panel password.
We released a test firmware one more, which has fallen back some MTK drivers.
Please help us verify it on your MT6000 if it works ok, click the URL to download test firmware:
mt6000-4.8.3_beta2-813-0925-1758798918.bin
Please do not keep settings during firmware upgrades.
So did you replace MTK drivers in firmware 4.8.2 without mentioning it in the release notes?
These kinds of low-level updates, such as drivers and kernel (kmod) updates, are typically not mentioned in the release notes.
Thanks for the update. ![]()
@bruce I have a MT6000 currently running 4.7.7, with a pending upgrade to 4.8.2. I’ve been following this string, and am reluctant at this point to upgrade. May I get the bottom line from you as to what the known issue(s) with 4.8.2 are post GA? Is environment (configuration) a specific factor for encountering issues after 4.8.2 upgrade, and if so, what are the configurations that are prone to problems? I want to upgrade, but not at the risk of introducing performance and/or stability problems…tyvm

no keep settings. it works from few hours
Hello Bruce,
with fw 4.8.2 I was experiencing a huge power transmission drop (no connection) on 2.4GHz by just moving few steps away from the router, with a wall in between.
So I was obliged to step back to fw 4.7.7.
You may refer to “Flint2 - Wifi 2.4 Ghz power transmission drop with fw 4.8.2 #[Ticket-91196]”.
With your latest beta fw mt6000-4.8.3_beta2-813-0925-1758798918.bin, this issue is fixed. 2.4GHz coverage is now great again, as it was with fw 4.7.7.
Please keep this MTK driver setup for actual and future fw development for Stable versions.
Thanks
I did notice that the kernel version (prior to this new beta release) had changed from 5.4.238 to 5.4.246, IIRC. I figured at the time that the MTK SDK had been upgraded to a newer release.
@bruce keep these wifi drivers !
They rules !
Please do not upgrade for now.
We will release a new version after resolving the OP issue, then proceed with the upgrade.
Thank you very much for your testing!
We will continue to monitor this test firmware situation and wait for more feedback from users. If it is indeed a driver issue, we will roll back the driver and release a new firmware version asap.
Thank you Bruce for this beta firmware.
I confirm it is stable since yesterday installation.
Great wifi 2.4GHz coverage (I"m mostly interested to this frequency because my clients are almost far from the router and I wanted to eliminate repeaters), with both AdGuard and Network Acceleration enabled.
New VPN dashboard (I never used it before because I was stuck on fw 4.7.7, due to known fw 4.8.2 issues, and I've got the router just one week ago) is also really welcome and perfectly working.
After beta fw installation, I reset to factory default, renamed SSIDs and clients, enabled AdGuard, setup a VPN client and installed LUCI interface.
Hello,
May I know any more friendly MT6000/Flint2 users given us feedback the situation on this test firmware?
Is this issue also showing up with firmware 4.8.2-op24 for the MT-6000?
Other than that, I have a GL-BE9300 running snapshot firmware 4.8.3 (2025-09-26) and the AdGuard Home version that came with this release, and I have not experienced any issues. However, I am not using the router’s Wi-Fi.
