Smaller 5G/4g LTE device

Product developers,

We have a dire need of a more portable 5g device with small battery. Think compact size of Puli or Mudi. Small size, with 2 ethernet ports like Puli. Spitz AX and Puli AX are great devices, but not very portable.

Would be great if you can upgrade Puli, put smaller battery, 5g antenna and faster processor so we can easily use on the go, in laptop cases, carry-ons.

Thank you!

This product is on our roadmap, we will publish some information after the design is more clear. Thank you for trusting GL-iNet brand.

Tim-Zhang,

This sounds great. I have four of the X750 routers and really like the size of them. I also have the X3000 that I use in Germany. They all work great.

Shoutout to great device - plain old Puli powering my mobile office across 3 continents.

Features and my usage:

  • Low profile (perfect for crossover)
  • Low battery usage (very efficient)
  • 2 Ethernet ports (1 for work laptop, 1 for work phone w/ RJ45 adapter)
  • Works when car is turned off (battery)
  • Feeding Ethernet to dell hub + usb c pass through to laptop with usb c extension cable
  • When laptop is not used, hide under car seat.
  • Noise cancellation microphone headphones via usb to dell hub dongle - can take calls with car running (for air conditioning in South America) it filters all background noise.
  • All WiFi/bluetooth off on work laptop and phone
  • Speeds w/ WireGuard 20 mbps up, 5 mbps down. Enough for video calls
  • During teams video calls, put towel on car seat and blur background

Can’t stress how amazing this device has been. 5 cars, 3 continents, 40 states. I can’t use puli ax or spitz ax as they are not discrete. Puli is perfect weight/size and battery optimization. I also have 2nd puli device that’s in my laptop sleeve.

Wishlist

  • 5g support for puli or just more 4g lte bands and support
  • Automatic shutoff on inactivity - even when battery goes to zero, device starts within 2 mins of car starting, that’s how amazing Puli battery and power consumption truly is. For comparison, netgear m1 takes 10 mins.

Everything else is just awesome

And a global modem module! I think this should be standard in every new cellular router in 2025 and in the future, including the new Sptiz Plus.
