Hello,
I want to apologize. I was corrected by Alzhao for replying to the following post and asked to start a new thread instead:
I wasn't aware there was a rule to not reply to an open & unsolved thread discussing the same problems you are experiencing (Since I've replied to older posts in the past with solutions and even gotten likes from Alzhao himself.) I don't fully understand the double standard.
Anyway, I found the solution to the problem and want to share it in case anyone else is also experiencing this issue. I was having WiFi connectivity issues with the GL-x750-v2 as well as the GL-AR300M-16 just as described in the post. The router became unresponsive, and the devices didn't have internet or network access even though they were showing connected to the router's signal. Unplugging the router from it's power source or changing 2.4GHz WiFi settings using a wired client would fix the problem temporarily but the issue would repeat after a few days, especially during heavy 2.4GHz WiFi traffic between multiple clients at the same time.
Solution: Turn off the Guest 2.4GHz WiFi signal and that will be the end of dropped connections and non-responsive routers on the 2.4GHz band. I wish I could share this in the original post but it has been closed while still being unresolved. I have been testing this for the last 60 days and have even transferred large amounts of data over the 2.4GHz channel with my Synololgy NAS trying to replicate the problem but it won't happen anymore as long as the Guest 2.4GHz is turned off. If you are experiencing the issue described in the original post, I recommend turning off and not using the Guest 2.4GHz signal until a firmware update from GL.iNet addresses this issue.
Best regards to all GL.iNet friends and have a wonderful day!
