Spitz AX 3000 cell disconnection

Hello, I’m new here, but I have a big problem with my Spitz AX 3000. I just wanted to say that I’m in Italy and I use the Iliad carrier. The problem is that with the latest updates, it randomly disconnects, and the only way to fix it (which doesn’t always work) is to unplug and plug it back in. It’s really annoying and a bit shameful! I had to revert to firmware version 4.4.4, and it seems to work. I’ve tried 4.4.9, 4.4.11, 4.4.12, and 4.4.13, and they’re awful—they don’t work well at all. Please fix this issue!

Hi,

Does the connection stable of modem when the router firmware on v4.4.4?
but on v4.4.9 and later, the modem will randomly disconnect occasionally?

How often does it occur roughly a couple times a day or few days?
Please provide the syslog for us to do a preliminary check.

Yes, you understood correctly! With version 4.4.4, it hasn’t disconnected so far, while with the other versions mentioned above, it would disconnect in less than 24 hours. I’m not familiar with logs. How can I check them? I’m using an Android phone, and I have the GL.iNet app.

It seems probably the newer router firmware issue, it required to preliminary check through the syslog.

If possible could you please login the APP and export the syslog for us, with the latest firmware:
APP -> SYSTEM -> LOG -> Export (upper right)

Please PM me the logread.tar file with me.

Hi, I realised today that I have the same problem as @Bater with my Spitz AX 3000 ver 4.4.13 and Vodafone Spain. I bought the router on the 1st of March, upgraded to firmware 4.4.13 and today it disconnected from the mobile network for 53 minutes during which it did not autoconnect. I logged into the router, selected "Automatic Connection Button" and it came back online. It should have automatically reconnected itself though, right?

Is there any aditional setting I need to do to resolve this problem automatically the next time it disconnects?

Generally, after enabling the cellular once, the next connection will be automatically dialed.

Unless you change the card SIM card slot or APN changes, etc.

Please try to upgrade to the latest beta firmware v4.7.4 and verify it one more

If the v4.7.4 still has issue, please share the syslog and PM to me.

Thanks for replying

Today I noticed that firmware 4.4.13, with a card in SIM2 (even if it is not registered or not valid), when SIM1 loses connection, the router automatically switches to SIM2 (the router detects that the card in SIM2 is not registered) and reconnects correctly to SIM1. This whole process takes about 23 seconds.

So before upgrading to the beta firmware v4.7.4 I'm going to try this workaround a bit more, as it's enough for now.

If I still have reconnection problems, I'll report the failures here.
