Hi All,
i'm in Italy, using Vodafone carrier.
There is no way I can use 5G with this model, only 4G/4G+

  • Firmware updated: 4.0 0413release2
  • Module versionu: RM520NGLAAR03A03M4G
    I tried changing the APN, changing the IMEI.

Is there anything else I can try?

Hi,
I used with HO, that is the cheap Vodafone.it provider and it work fine with 5G.
1) Are you sure that where you are, you have a 5G coverage?
2) Also, there is and advice that some provider are showed as 4G+ even if is 5G, maybe someone can confirm that or send some way to check, one of the think that I'm thinking is if you can run a speedtest and check what is the download/upload speed, if if this can depend of various different parameters as how far you are from the cell, if there are interferences etc...

My iPhone on Vodafone IT had double download speed in the same place (250 vs 500) on 5G

I wrote to the support, otherwise I’ll return it, a cheaper U50 is ok without any problems.
Very unsatisfied.

Hi,
which APN have you tried? I checked around and for vodafone italia there are few to test, and one is (strange) also: web.omnitel.it
Have you tried that? when I used my HO eSim I remember that I needed few minutes (around 15) before the 5G was used by my router.
Try and let us know.

The sim is connecting only with mobile.vodafone.it APN.
