Spitz AX (GL-X3000) - Ethernet interface issue

Hello,

I encounter a weird problem with my Spitz AX (GL-X3000) and would gladly get some help !

I used it as modem and router for several months without issue, but one week ago I suddenly lost connection through Ethernet interface.

The thing is, everything still work while connected to the spitz through Wi-Fi on the same computer. While searching to solve this issue, suddenly ethernet worked again without any particular reason.

Couple hours later, same problem, suddenly no Ethernet connection to the router.

I can access my NAS or other LAN Ethernet device on my network from my computer, but the router sees nothing and does not respond to ping through ethernet.

Things that I tried :

  • Though of DHCP issue so I first fixed IP on my computer

  • Tested all cables and Ethernet interface on computers (not the spitz's)

  • Tested router connection on another computer with a live debian distribution

  • Turned off AdGuard

  • Reset firmware to default and upgrade

  • Trying both Ethernet interface on the Spitz

  • No other DHCP server on the network

Hello,

The log attached cannot click to download, please PM me the syslog file, thank you.

Hello,

It seems that eth1 (LAN) is frequently up/down, while eth1 is a gigabit port, the gigabit port negotiation is currently very stable, and it is unlikely that there will be compatibility issue like the 2.5G network port.

  1. Try changing the network cable.
  2. If eth1 is replaced with other wired client devices, is the connection stable?
  3. execute on SSH ethtool -s eth1 to check the port situation.
