I have 2 SIMs installed. I normally manually switch them and have Multi Wan interface checking switched off.
I now want to auto switch them when the data usage limit on the active SIM is reached and the SIM signal stops.
Do I need to enable Multi WAN checking for auto switch to work or not?
Do I need Preferred SIM slot to be scheduled as well or not?

Mostly won't work because reaching the data usage limit won't cut off the signal.
You need to test if ping or dns lookup will stop then - if it does, you can configure the failover accordingly.
When my SIM data limit is reached internet access stops.
My questions were do I need Internet status tracking enabled and/or preferred slot scheduling checked.
