Don't write the / before the name of the file you are going to flash.
I followed the instructions
Do I have to go through the entire process again, or can I start from the "flashing"?
Flashing only.
I did the upgrade. I am going to observe the performance to see if there is any improvement.
Thanks for all the help
GL.iNet GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) 5G NR Cellular Setup
I would like to add new information to this post,
I hope this is allowed. If its not, please advise me how I should proceed. Thank you.
I love the GL-X3000.
It’s loaded with features such as Adguard, VPN, a power WIFI network, just to name a few.
I bought it specifically for its cellular capability, which works fine when I am in areas close to cell towers.
My main grouse however, is the difficulty to setting up and maintaining a cellular connection now that I am 23 miles away from the nearest tower.
At this distance I receive only a weak 3G connection.
The signal bar fluctuates between 1 and 3 bars, with 1 bar being most frequent. However it performs creditably even with 1 bar.
This router/modem doesn’t give me an option to set a 3G profile, manual connection where I can enter my APN.
This router has a QCM protocol (which I understand is best for 5G), and takes forever to connect.
I find the auto connection option works better; however, it disconnects often and sometimes even when its connected web pages cannot be accessed.
I have attached images in the pdf document to illustrate my experience.
I have also attached images of the Huawei B310s router which I have reverted to.
Images show the user-friendly interface to setup.
The images also show the 3G WCDMA signal and band.
The internet performance is just as good the Spitz 3000.
One of my reasons for making this post is to see if there is anyone who can advise on how to resolve the problems, I have experienced in setting up the 3G Cellular connection for this router.
Many thanks in advance.
