SPITZ GL-X750 carrier aggregation not working

Hello to everybody!!

Recently I purchased this LTE router with the EP06-E LTE module.

I’m from Spain and I’m not able to get download speeds over 20Mb/s even with CA. Using my iPhone XS MAX I get around 80 Mb/s download speeds.

Checking the UI I can see CA information:

+QCAINFO: “pcc”,2850,100,“LTE BAND 7”,1,494,-108,-15,-71,8
+QCAINFO: “scc”,1301,100,“LTE BAND 3”,1,16,-91,-19,-62,-7

OK

But it’s impossible to get speeds close to what my iPhone offers, my spitz sticks in 20Mb/s

Do you know if I have a faulty LTE chip or if I missing something?

Many thanks and best regards.

If the module does CA already, there is not much to do now.

Iphone may be cat 16 or something. So it is always better.

EP06-E should be able to achieve 80Mbps when getting good signal. But I have no clue to improve the speed.

In the admin I get 3 of 4 bars signal. So I don’t know if it is enough or not to improve the speed.

Thanks.

What is the signal info using AT command?

Hello,

+CSQ: 29,99

OK

Thanks a lot!!

Pls find “cell info” and get the information.

Here you have the information, thanks a lot!!

Could you help me @alzhao? I’ll appreciate it.
On the other hand, I’ve just received a mudi device, looks awesome!!

Many thanks and best regards.

Have you locked the BAND before?
Please execute the following command to query the band settings
AT+QCFG="band"

Hello, yes I’ve locked the band, in fact I’ve done several tests combining band 3+7, 3+20, 7+20 and only with band 3, 7 and 20.

The maximum speed I get is 25Mb/s, no matter if the CA is enabled or not, the speed is the same. I also have a Mudi, and yesterday I went to a place where I get 200 Mb/s with my iPhone and with Mudi I only got 30 Mb/s as the best result. This place is the headquarters of Orange Spain, the telco company.

So I don’t know what happens with these devices, the speed promised is far from what you really get,

Many thanks and best regards.

EP06 can get 70-80 max speed if there is CA. It can no way compare to your phone which may be CAT16 etc.

Maybe you can remove the band lock and let modem decide which band to connect.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

I’m not looking for these download speeds (>100Mb/s), what I expect is to get speeds close to 50Mb/s with good conditions, that for me is enough.

But unfortunately, with Spitz or Mudi, setting up different configurations, I’m not being able to reach theses speeds.

I have locked the band’s for CA, locked just one band and of course reset to default band, in all these cases getting 30 Mb/s as the best result.

I’m not telling that the devices don’t work well, they offer a bunch of good functionalities but I miss better connection speeds.

I don’t know if something is wrong with my units or the behavior is the expected.

Many thanks and best regards
