Spitz X3000 my repeater tethering and OpenVPN Client setup

I am new to both GL-iNet brand/routers and OpenWrt/LuCI software, and highly satisfied of my insane X3000.
I did ask for help many times and got valuable info that helped me to meet all needs for my home environment:

  • improve speed in rooms far from the main FritzBox router;
  • overcome CGNAT access limit when using the X3000 as standalone router.

The main points of my solution are:

  • start configuring after a firmware reset;
  • remove all firewall zones;
  • configure repeater, tethering and OpenVPN Client features;
  • add a firewall zone in case of problem (only 1 zone required to have all running).

You didn’t use the modem at all?

So why X3000, not MT3000?
