Hi, I always have high ping times on Wi-Fi every 1-2 minutes, both on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. I am using a GL-MT6000 Flint 2.
There are no problems whatsoever when using a network cable.
I have already done the following:
Factory reset -> did not help
Firmware update to 4.8.99 beta -> brought a significant improvement, problem no longer occurs as often, now every 3-4 minutes
Household appliances with motors, compressors, or magnetrons—such as refrigerators, microwaves, or air conditioners—can sometimes cause brief disruptions, but most cases on the 2.4 GHz band.
If possible, please try the following:
Temporarily power off other household appliances.
Test again with only your ISP modem (if applicable), the Flint 2, and your PC running.
If the issue persists, also try switching to the 5 GHz band or changing the Wi-Fi channel to rule out external interference.
Another reason why you have regular interruptions on 5GHz can be that you are using DFS-channels. If you are using these channels, the system has to scan for other signals in regular intervals.
