SQM in gl-inet firmware

I am writing to thank gl-inet for introducing SQM in the firmware.

I took a leap of faith and installed BETA firmware (v4.9) on my Flint 2 and guess what? SQM. Yayi!

I don’t have so much bandwidth to boast of, but enabling SQM on my Flint 2 gave it a score of “A”.

This is the the same as what I get on my Dynalink DL-WRX36 running OpenWrt 25.12.2 where I also configured SQM and got an “A”.

I hope they rebase on OpenWrt 25.xx soon so that I can use apk instead of opkg to mess up things

Thanks, once again!

PS: And I am also greeted with Discourse as the latest forum platform, no?

Hi,

Thank you for sharing your experience using SQM with Flint 2 v4.9.
We’re glad to hear it’s been helpful.

The development of v4.9.x-op25 is ongoing, but it’s unlikely to be released in the short term.
We still have some additional compatibility work to complete (yes, part of it is due to new apk tools).
