Suggestion for next generation of Marble

(Sorry for the wrong post category, there is no "Feedback" category)

I'll try to make it brief. It would be a very good idea if the next version of the Marble be powered by POE. GL*Inet is trying to make this router "disappear" behind a picture frame, though if one could cut down on the number of wires plugged into it, as in only have LAN cable being visible, it would disappear even more.

(Assuming the router is hung on a wall) I would also suggest to rejig the Marble to have the RJ45 sockets to be put behind the router and in such a position to make routing of a CAT6 patch cord easier to make it/them come out of any side of the device. We can't always have the perfect location & arrangement for our routers, more flexibility with regards to the cabling would also be a good thing to have.

In case I'm not quite clear in the above text: I had to put this router on a wall facing the stairs (the stairwell?) to maximise house coverage. It is low, close to the edge and whilst one's head doesn't touch them as we go down the stairs to the ground floor, both cables (power & LAN) do stick out a bit from the edge of the wall / upper floor.

(Ed.) Here are two photos of the device to better explain what I'm saying here:

and

(Ed.2) Here's one last photo of the back of a corded telephone to show a way to put patch cords at the back of a unit (had to mangle the URL because can't add a 3rd link as a new poster - just remove the extra spaces to fix it):

Anyway, if the cables could be made to come out from the sides of the router instead of just from the bottom, they would be less exposed.

Cheers.

flat ethernet cables and rotating the unit 90 degrees?
If you used the photo frame that came in the box, you could hide the logo too.
If you could fit an lcd in the photo frame you could show stats on it.

Come to think of it, redesigning the router to have the RJ45 jacks "under" the router like on some corded telephones (see the last photo I included in my original post, just unmangle the URL) might be more trouble than it's worth. @hecatae is right, it's better to keep it simple.

Instead, GL-Inet should just ensure the router's cooling permits turning the router on its side, to have the network jacks be on either left, botton or right side (if mounted on a wall), depending on the need.

I still maintain my very first suggestion, for the next generation of the Marble to have the option of being powered via POE. That would make for a cleaner, tidier install.

It would be cool to be able to add an LCD screen instead of an image in a frame, to display activity (virtual "blinkenlights") or stats.
