We'd love to hear your opinion on GL.iNet device's touchscreen! There's quite a few products with touchscreen coming up, and we'd like to implement features that the community wants, so please share your thoughts!
The survey takes around only 2-4 minutes. Thanks in advance
Agreed. More RAM, more memory, better hardware, better firmware.
Touchscreen is a gimmick for hobbyists. I highly suspect that only a tiny % of users will interact via touchscreen after initial setup.
More RAM/memory/firmware support - helps every day for the life of the device.
Long ago GL asked for input about moving in to the small-business and enterprise market. But the sudden fascination with touchscreen implies they have instead chosen to continue expanding the hobbyist market.
Slate Plus, Slate AX, Opal β three Ethernet ports. And all of those devices seem to be at the end of their life.
Slate 7, Beryl 7 - two Ethernet ports. There will be no small form-factor device with three ports
But there is a touchscreen
Itβs perspective, I suppose. Maybe the hobbyist market is bigger, better and thus more lucrative from a business perspective.
But you should take care of screen protectors (add to the box). Because since it is touchscreen which well... supposed to be touched, without protectors it will become ugly very quickly.
And for things that sane and holy, add ability to schedule turning off display, because at night every single light, even smallest, can annoy.
Also, if you will add batteries, add battery care mode that will restrict charging over 80%. This feature already implemented in most mobile devices (from smartphones and tablets to laptops and wearable electronics)
